Mortimer Shield was a blast for the 5/6 class. Eliza, Matilda and Gypsy played league tag with McAuley Tumut girls. The boys Jack, Archie, Charlie, Tom and Harry all played with St Pats Gundagai. 

The boys said “it was a fun and enjoyable game throughout the day.”  They played five games, against McAuley, Franklin, Tumbarumba, Adelong Public School and Tumut Public School.  They won against Franklin where the score was 8-0. In that same game Tom scored a try after running the whole field and Jack in a separate game scored one try.

The girls played against Tumut Public, Gundagai Public, Franklin, Tumbarumba and Adelong Public. Although they didn't win any games they had a blast playing with McAuley.  Gypsy scored 4 tries, Eliza scored 3 tries, and Matilda scored 1. 

Overall it was a successful day for both teams.
