Snowy Hydro Excursion
In Term 3, we entered in the Snowy Hydro Competition and found out that they we had won.
On Wednesday Yr 2-6 went on an excursion to Tumut3 power station. We had a tour around the power station and saw how Snowy Hydro workers and machines create hydro-electric power.

We got to make wind turbines and a water rotor out of paper and cardboard. This was a great experience for us and our class as the years 5 and 6 are learning about the Snowy scheme and non-renewable, renewable energy and how hydro electricity is a source of renewable energy.
Also part of the prize was a Taronga Zoo 'Rore & Snore" 1 night and 2 day ticket into the zoo.
