Principal's Report
Welcome to Week 5. Another beautiful Autumn week at St Joseph’s. Just a reminder about full winter uniform. Most mornings it is only a couple of degrees and the number of children who are not wearing jumpers is quite amazing. Please make sure that your child has at least a school jumper on every morning. On sports days children can wear their shorts underneath their tracksuit pants, but again they must come to school in long pants. As the day warms up I understand that children may need to take a layer off – but please full winter uniform as this is how children get sick.
Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to help at next week’s Athletics Carnival. All children will catch the bus over to Tumut, and we will return at the end of day in time for buses.
A huge thank you to Mr Turnbull who has fixed our ‘Buddy chair’. The buddy chair was originally made by the Men’s Shed and all students know that it is a place to go to when they may need a buddy to play with, or a little bit of extra help on the playground. It was in desperate need of some tlc and Mr Turnbull has just about rebuilt it and it is looking brand new. Thank you Mr Turnbull for fixing our buddy chair, we appreciate all your time and effort that you put into fixing it for us.
The Community Council working bee is set down for this Saturday at 3 pm. A HUGE thank you to Mick Campbell who has been co-ordinating this. Many hands make light work, so I encourage all families to just give an hour of their time on Saturday afternoon. Due to covid and the restrictions that have been in place we haven’t really had many opportunities that we can come together to catch up and have a social event. Thank you to those families who have volunteered their time to help out on Saturday.
Have a great week.
