Welcome back to Term 3.  There is somewhat a sense of de ja vu at the moment with covid updates and restrictions coming through on a regular basis and things do have the potential to change rather quickly.  With South Gundagai Coles Express being a case contact, now is not the time to become complacent.  Emails have been sent to all families regarding what the current restrictions look like at St Joseph’s.  I guess the biggest one that I want to emphasise is that if your child is showing any symptoms of COVID 19, whether mild or not they should not attend school and should get tested, returning when they are symptom free. 

Advice from NSW Health is that parents and carers should not send children to school if they are unwell, even if they have the mildest flu-like symptoms. Schools will make arrangements for students who are unwell or have flu-like symptoms to be sent home.

Anyone who is unwell or has even mild flu-like symptoms should have a COVID test through their local medical practitioner or one of the COVID-19 clinics.

In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.

Thank you to those parents who are ringing or emailing the school to check whether they can come onsite.  If you need to come and collect your child for an appointment please come to the office and sign them out – adhering to the current covid guidelines.
