Kindergarten/Year 1 Classroom News
This week in K/1 students have enjoyed learning new warm up games in maths such as ‘Duck Down December’ and ‘Greedy Pig’. Students are revising some of the concepts learnt earlier in the year. One of the lessons this week students were making a repeating pattern. Students chose pattern blocks to create a repeated pattern, then drew the pattern and explained it to a partner.
In Literacy our book this week was a factual text about whales. In art students completed a directed whale drawing and used water paints to create the background.
Students are looking forward to their last tennis lesson tomorrow. The students have enjoyed learning new skills and games. Thank you Birdie for coaching us.
