Welcome to Week 9 and what is a very busy time of the year. 

Classes

In 2022 the Class structure will be the same as this year.  The K/1 class teacher will be Miss Stacey Braun with Mrs Liz Murray taking Kindergarten literacy four days a week, as well as taking on Instructional leadership and leading the Catalyst program for St Joseph’s.  2/3 will be Miss Jessica Soulsby and 4/5/6 will be Mrs Kerrie Dean.  There is still some part time positions that we are hoping to fill before the end of the year.  Covid protocols have not allowed students to transition to their new class for 2022, but we are confident that this will be a smooth process for our current Yr 1 and Yr 3 students.

Plan B for End of Year Mass and Awards Ceremony

As you are aware our end of year mass and awards presentation is Wednesday 8^th December and is to be held outside on the school oval.  We look forward to officially saying farewell to our wonderful Year six leaders, and announcing our School leaders for 2022.  It is also a great opportunity to acknowledge all students who have made significant progress, achievement and success in particular Key Learning Areas.  Much thought and consideration goes into our awards and is a difficult process, as all staff know that students at St Joseph’s give of their best. Clear protocols follow in the newsletter of how this will run and the steps needed to check in and show vaccination status etc.

In the event of wet weather the only viable option is to hold the mass and awards ceremony at the Adelong showground.  All families will be notified early next week if we need to change the venue  – all protocols and check in procedures will remain the same.  If this is the venue parents will be asked to drop their children to the Showground at the beginning of the school day.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent teacher interviews will be held next week and it is a great opportunity to talk to your child’s teacher about their progress and strengths and areas that could be developed in 2022.

Go gently as it is indeed busy times with much to do!!!
