Ash Wednesday
This week it was lovely to welcome parishioners and parents to our school mass to celebrate Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, which is 40 days, not counting Sundays, of fasting and repentance prior to the celebration of Easter.
Lent is a time to change, to become a better version of ourselves, and to become more like Jesus. The ashes we receive on Ash Wednesday remind us of our call to repent and believe in the Gospel. The disciplines of Lent—prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—help us prepare for Easter.

Upcoming Dates:
St Joseph’s Day - 19th March
We will celebrate St Joseph’s Day on Friday 18th March. Please bring a picnic lunch to have with your family after mass! (Mass time to be confirmed).
School Mass - 20th March
Our School Mass is Sunday 20th March. We need volunteers so please let me know if you can attend. After mass, you are more than welcome to join us for a cuppa at the Cafe.
Have a lovely week,
