Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Canberra Excursion
I had the absolute pleasure of participating in the Year 4/5/6 Excursion to Canberra earlier this week. I am hopeful that families were able to follow the activities that our students participated in via the school’s Facebook page. We are really proud of the leadership of our students, their level of engagement and the manner they connected with Andy (our driver), the tour guides, the adults and one another. I hope this will be a lasting memory of their primary school years. Well done Year 4/5/6!
Ronald McDonald House - McHappy Day Fundraiser
As mentioned last week, Beau, Mason and Riley will be organising a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House on Friday 18th November. The boys have asked that students bring a gold coin and wear anything yellow, red or white along with either crazy socks or crazy hair (or both!). They will also have some delicious baked goods for sale at recess and lunch - I will post the cost of these in next week's newsletter!

ICT Information
Please find attached some information about Snapchat (click here), courtesy of Safe on Social founder and CEO Kirra Pendergast. For more information on her programs and information, parents can visit her webpage:
The Google Form about IT information at St Joseph’s is still open. Thank you to the parents that have already contributed their thoughts and opinions. If parents could take the time to fill this out, this will support future decisions and information shared. The link is attached (click this link)
Resilience Project 2023
Next year, St Joseph’s staff and students will be fortunate enough to participate in the Resilience Project. I can personally advocate the amazing work that the Resilience Project does with schools and communities to achieve their goal of delivering emotionally engaging programs and provide evidence-based, practical wellbeing strategies to build resilience. Part of this program involves a community and parent/carer information session on Wednesday the 16th November at the Montreal Theatre from 6.30pm - 8pm.
This session will be presented by one of The Resilience Project’s partners and lead facilitators, Martin Heppell. I strongly encourage parents to try and make this event. If parents can’t attend this event, there will be an online community presentation on Tuesday 22nd November. We will also share their flyers through Facebook to remind parents and carers of both information evenings.
You can register in advance for the online meeting using the link below:
