Principal's Report
Welcome to Week 4. I hope all the mothers in our community had a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday. A big thank you to all our mums and Nans that joined us for our Mother’s day Paint and sip on Friday afternoon, it was a lovely afternoon, with some great portraits painted.
Please keep Fr Joe in your prayers, he is currently in Indonesia to be with his family. His younger brother Francis died suddenly on the weekend, so we will continue to keep him in our prayers and thoughts.
Our next Community Council meeting is this Wednesday17th May at 6 pm (agenda included in this newsletter). Thank you to all parents who completed the uniform survey. The results of the survey will be presented at the meeting.
Term 2 school fees should be sent out to families this week. Please remember that BPay is our preferred method of payment for school fees. The best way to ensure that you do not use Compass Pay for fee payment is to use your banks website and use BPay to make your payment. If you go through the compass app it will automatically use your stored card details and use Compass pay where the school will be charged a high transaction fee. All other events and excursion payments will be via compass pay. Please contact office staff if you have any queries regarding compass payments and consent for events.
St Joseph’s staff have been busy with Professional development over the last couple of weeks. We have had our High Impact Teaching Practice Coach visit and work closely with staff. Initial lit staff and the Senior Literacy Officer from Catholic Education have also been in the school to observe Initial lit practices and offer feedback.
We wish Billy Roche and Kruz Annetts the best of luck for Friday, where they will participate in the Archdiocese Cross country.
