Principal's Report
A lovely Opening School Mass today celebrated by Fr Yoseph. A big thank you to Miss Braun for all the preparation and planning that went into today’s mass and to all students who participated in the mass so reverently. It was a lovely opportunity to officially welcome our Kindergarten and new students to St Josephs and to present our Yr 6 leaders with their badges. It was lovely to see so many parents join us for a cup of tea afterwards.
The first couple of weeks have been very busy indeed with many school events taking place. A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents that assisted with the swimming carnival, your help is always greatly appreciated.
14 students will head off to Western Region swimming in Cootamundra on Thursday and we wish them all the best at representing our school at the carnival. Mrs Campbell will be the teacher attending, so if all students can look for Mrs Campbell at the beginning of the day and get their names marked off the roll.
We will have our first Community Council meeting for the year next week (details are included below). It would be fantastic to see as many people there as possible.
A friendly reminder that school hats need to be worn at all times - please help your child/ren make sure that they pack their school hat every day.
In 2024 St Joseph’s has been lucky enough to again receive funding from the Community Foundation for the Resilience Project for all classes. I was lucky enough to be in the 5/6 classroom yesterday teaching a lesson on Gratitude. Sometimes we can get caught up in the things that we don’t have or focus on what we would like. Flipping our mindset to being thankful for what we do have and to appreciate the many wonderful things around us, is a great daily practice. Every night thinking of three things that we are grateful for is a positive way to end a busy day!
Blessings for a great week,
