Pentecost

On Sunday, we celebrated Pentecost. Pentecost is celebrated 50 days after Easter, and marks the “birthday” of the Church. On this day, the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ disciples in the form of flames of fire, giving them the ability to speak different languages. This event is seen as the beginning of the Church, because from that day, the disciples started to spread Jesus’ message to the whole world.

Sacramental Programs

Please keep Barney, Brydee, Christopher, Eva and Reuben in your prayers as they prepare for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is where children receive the bread and wine, which represent the body and blood of Jesus. It’s a way for christians to remember and connect with Jesus’ sacrifice and teachings. This sacrament is a meaningful and important part of the faith journey.

Confirmation

Please keep Billy, Henry, Primrose and Ollie in your prayers as they begin their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Sacrament of Confirmation is the second of the three sacraments of Christian initiation. Confirmation completes Baptism, by which in the laying on of hands and the anointing with Chrism Oil, we are confirmed with the fullness of the Holy Spirit.  

Just a reminder, the first preparation meeting is Thursday 23rd May at 5pm in the Church at Tumut.
