Kindergarten Class News
Kindergarten have had another busy term here at St Joseph’s. This term, Kindergarten students were fortunate enough to participate in the Reynolds Shearing Excursion at Yaven Creek and a visit to the Tumut Museum. Both experiences enabled students to deepen their existing knowledge whilst learning from others in our community.

Show and Tell has been another highlight this term with all students actively participating in this experience each week. It has been a pleasure watching each students confidence grow each week as well as learning more about one another.
Our Health unit this term has focused on all thing’s safety including road, water, and medicine safety. Our school is a hive of activity again this term, as we watch with anticipation our new school being built outside our classroom window each day. We took our lesson outside last week to hunt for different types of safety signs. Students discovered all types of signs that help keep the builders safe and signs that help keep members of the school safe. Students used ipads to photograph these signs and then record these in their workbooks.
Our current Kindergarten students have been very kind and helpful as we start to welcome our 2025 Kindergarten students during orientation days. We have now completed 2 orientation days and look forward to hosting another 2 sessions in term 4. It has been lovely to see the students rekindle old friendships and buddy up with the new Kindergarten students to show them around St Joseph’s.
