NAIDOC week is coming up and the theme for 2025 is "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy" 

A group of St Joseph’s students will head over to McAuley for the NAIDOC Mass early in Term 3 and join with other schools in the region to celebrate the special liturgy.

A NAIDOC Week Prayer for 2025

Creator Spirit, we give thanks for the enduring strength, vision, and legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the wisdom of Elders past and present, and their deep connection to this land. 

We pray for the next generation, that they may be empowered to carry the fire of their culture, become strong leaders, and build a future filled with hope and opportunity. 

We acknowledge the challenges faced by First Nations youth, and we pray for their well-being, for access to education, and for a future free from systemic barriers. 

Guide us all to walk together in unity, respect, and understanding, as we strive for reconciliation and a more just and equitable future for all Australians. 

May your love and spirit be with us as we learn from the past, celebrate the present, and build a better tomorrow.
