The staff and students have had a wonderful start to learning this term.

Challenging Learning continues to be a focus at St Joseph’s with the staff currently focusing on ‘Talk Moves and Questioning’. Staff guide the students to a deeper level of understanding through strategies such as ‘Revoicing, Restating and Reasoning’ during their lessons. The learning challenge teaches people how to learn as well as what to learn.

Congratulations are extended to Mrs Parker and our School Choir who sang magnificently in the Western Region Choir competition, taking out third place. Work on the School Play has already commenced and we thank Mrs Parker for her creative abilities writing the play along with the help of our Year Six leaders.

On Friday we look forward to celebrating Mission Month with ‘A Day of Many Colours’. Students are invited to wear colourful clothing to school and make a gold coin donation to the missions. During the day we will pray the Rosary for children around the world who need our help and prayers.
