In Maths, we have been learning about place value and learning different strategies to help us work out sums mentally. We have been learning about number patterns and working out the rule to go with these.

In Literacy, we have been looking at word rules, grammar and punctuation to help us improve our writing and spelling.

This month is World Mission Month and the whole school have been praying for the different countries around the world. We will be participating in ‘A day of many colours’ and we have to dress up in White, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow to represent these countries. We will be raising money for the Nazareth Home. Some Primary Students have organised activities for us to participate in. We have integrated this into Religion by learning about The Rosary.

In Integrated Studies, we have been focusing on Earth’s Place in Space. Yesterday we made tornados in jars. We put water in a jar and added vinegar, dishwashing liquid and glitter to this. We put the lid on and then swirled it around in a clockwise direction and it made a tornado.
