Principal's Report
Dear families,
What a fun day yesterday at St Joseph’s with National Simultaneous Storytime. There were so many fabulous costumes, everyone looked fantastic. I congratulated all of the children this morning on the way in which they all worked together yesterday. The stem activity saw the children work in small groups from different classes and they were so creative. They could build a chicken coop or Club Sparkles and there were some amazing creations. A big thank you to Mrs Dean who organised the great activities.
Zoom meetings with our counsellor Mel have continued again today and as you know Lucinda our Wellbeing Officer works every Monday. The well being of all our students continues to be our main focus at this time. Please encourage your children to seek support or just a chat if there is anything at all that may be on their minds. We know that there have been so many events in 2020 that have impacted significantly with the bushfires being the first horrific event, and we know that ‘things’ continue to happen. On the whole our St Joseph’s students have been incredibly resilient and continue to roll with the many punches that seem to come their way. Being consistent, sticking to daily routines both at home and school have been a great source of stability for our students. Remaining optimistic and reassuring our students is again another positive way to return to some sort of normality, which gives the students a great sense of hope. Thank you for supporting the positive transition back to school.
This term the semester two report will look very different. Reports will be sent out at the end of week 9 and during week 10 we will have parent teacher interviews. Please see the letter attached from Catholic education that outlines the changes to the reports.
Have a great week.
Kind Regards,
Kirsty Beavan
