Welcome back to Term 3. The children are back in the routine of school life again which is great.
The new outdoor heaters that the community council purchased for the weather shed have been installed and are taking the chill off the air for the children when they first arrive in the morning. We thank the community council for their continued support. A new air conditioner was installed to the front foyer over the holidays that replaced the old unit which was not able to be repaired. The other units in the school were also cleaned professionally, so everyone is keeping lovely and warm!
It was wonderful to see so many parents in the last week of term come in for parent teacher interviews. Semester one reports were a great way to acknowledge the wonderful progress that your child made. Regardless of the grade that was achieved, there is always areas for improvement and staff continue to work with all students to identify strategies and areas to improve and together they are busy setting their new goals for this term. On a daily basis teachers conference with students and together with daily conversations and assessments, teachers know exactly where students are with their learning and are continuing to challenge them to move forward. It is never good practice to compare siblings or your child to other individuals in the class, as we know that learning is individual and all children work at their own level. Thank you for recognising the great work that all of our students continue to make.
I look forward to another busy term full of fun and learning.
Kind Regards
Kirsty Beavan

Over the holidays Mr. Annetts cut down the pine trees that were dead in the playground. He had to use a chainsaw to cut them down. This was the first action of his new company Arbor Tech Tree co. The branches were all cleared out and the stumps removed.
The front garden was also given a revamp over the holidays by Mrs Beavan and her family. They were busy cleaning up the front garden. They mowed the lawns, pruned the roses, removed tree limbs, trimmed overgrown bushes, weeded and took all the green waste away. Our school is looking great.
By Dallas Miller and Ryan Annetts
