Students are invited to bring in a gold coin donation to participate in the 1 minute plank challenge that will be held at lunch time.
Tell Them From Me Survey
The 'Tell Them From Me Parent Survey' is an anonymous platform that gives feedback regarding the performance of our school. We encourage all parents to participate as we use this feedback to assist in our forward planning for 2023. Thank you to those who have taken time to complete the survey. Please contact me if you have any problems with the link. Link: http://tellthemfromme.com/d3932

Reconciliation
Yesterday three very special children Henry, James and Ollie celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. The children, families and 2/3 Class gathered for a Liturgy by Fr George. It was a beautiful service with all children participating so reverently. After the service we celebrated with a special morning tea. Thank you to Mrs Murray for assisting and preparing the children.
Congratulations Henry, James and Ollie for receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Feast of the Ascension
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension. This day commemorates Jesus Christ’s ascension into heaven and occurs 40 days after Easter (therefore always on a Thursday). After Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, Scripture tells us, he was seen for forty days before he ascended into heaven to be “seated at the right hand of God the Father.” This is significant as it shows that he returned to Heaven after completing his mission on earth. After Jesus’ ascension, the disciples awaited the promised Spirit in Jerusalem. The Ascension marks the end of the Easter season, and Pentecost follows ten days later.

National Breast Cancer Foundation's 1 Min Plank Fundraiser
During May Mrs Beavan is participating in the National Breast Cancer Foundation's 1 minute Plank a Day in May Challenge.
To show our support for Mrs Beavan we will be holding a "1 minute Plank Challenge" on Friday 27th May, we ask that the students bring in a gold coin donation.
This week in Kindergarten the children set up a shop. They played ‘I Spy’ and predicted what food items would be in the bags by looking at the initial sound.
The children then purchased items from the shop and had to write the the beginning sounds of the items they purchased. They had lots of fun!
McAuley Catholic Central School will be hosting a Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 7 June to outline the transition from Primary to Secondary school. We welcome all parents and carers of Year 6 students to come along and hear about the exciting opportunities offered in Stage 4 schooling at McAuley.
Following our Information evening, we will have our first Year 7 orientation day on Friday 17 June. There will be an information pack going home to families outlining what will happen on the day.
Keep up to date with events happening at St Joseph's via our electronic school calendar (please note dates can be subject to change).
