Dear Parents and Carers,
Tumut Takes Two
We would like to wish Andrew Reynolds all the very best as he takes the stage this weekend in the Tumut Takes Two Fundraising event. The fundraising and support from the Reynolds family, Community Council and our school community has been an enormous effort and hugely appreciated. We hope that our community can get there on Friday or Saturday in support of Andrew!
Mackillop Athletics
Congratulations to Nate, Kruz, Sam and Laura who participated at the Mackillop Athletics Carnival on Wednesday. Our students were extremely excited watching their peers run from the comforts of the classroom and we are all immensely proud of their efforts. We look forward to watching Nate participate in the NSW All Schools Carnival in Sydney next term!
Technology Survey
I have decided to send out the technology survey early next term to give myself the opportunity to see some similar forms sent out by other schools at a similar time in their ‘IT journey’. It is really important that all parents and carers get the opportunity to contribute to this survey so that our school can get a broad understanding of the wants and needs of our school community in the area of technology.
Tennis
Next term for the first five weeks, Birdie Cahill will be conducting Tennis lessons on a Friday. More information about these lessons will be posted via Compass leading into Term Four.
Term Three Break
I would like to wish our families a safe Term Three break. I understand that for many families, this period remains to be a busy time but I do hope that there are opportunities for you to spend some quality time with your children and families. I would like to thank our staff and families for their continued support and commitment in providing the best possible education for our students. I have become very proud of this commitment and look forward to working with everyone in Term Four.
O Glorious St. Christopher you have inherited a beautiful name, Christ-bearer, as a result of the wonderful legend that while carrying people across a raging stream you also carried the Child Jesus. Teach us to be true Christ-bearers to those who do not know Him. Protect all of us that travel both near and far and petition Jesus to be with us always. Amen.
Enjoy the break,
Ryan Forsyth
Acting Principal
We thank you Lord, for this term.
For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right; to be witnesses of our faith. Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others, to be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun. Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term. We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives.
Amen.

Term 4 Summer Uniform - NO HAT/NO PLAY
REMINDER: No Hat, No Play policy is in place all year round, a reminder that your child/ren need a hat for outside play.
Summer uniform is to be worn in Term 4.
Our local Golden Treasure Chest Op-Shop has a rack of St Joseph's second hand school uniforms for sale.
Wendellie's of Tumut also stock our full school uniform range available including hats.
Wendellie's are able to put an embroidery name on hats which we suggest, to ensure students are wearing their own hat and can be returned to the student should it be left out on the playground.
Thank you to all our parents who have gone onto Compass and put through attendance notes for when their children are absent during the term.
If your child/ren have any outstanding absence notes please ensure you attend to them as soon as possible. Twice a year it is a requirement for us to declare all student attendance.
Your support in using Compass to put through student absences is greatly appreciated.
The Community Council would like to thank our wonderful families who throughout this year have contributed to our fundraising activities.
With the Tumut Takes 2 and Andrew Reynolds fundraising campaign for St Joseph’s Adelong, there has been a lot happening, and the support from families has been incredible. It is truly amazing the total funds raised and it would not of been possible without the support of our families. THANKYOU!!! The funds raised will go towards resources for the classrooms in the new school build.
The street stall held on Friday, September 16th, raised over $1000, and the raffle winners were
1st Load of wood, donated by the MacDougall Family, won by Lorraine McMahon
2nd Non-alcoholic cider, donated by the Purcell Family, won by Kathy Weaver
3rd $30 voucher for Royal Hotel Adelong, donated by the Roche Family, won by James Hayes
Thank you to those who donated raffle prizes, donated and baked goods for our stall, and those who generously gave up some time on the day to sit on the street stall, we even had some lovely grandparents offer their time con the stall.
A massive thank you to all.
