A great night last night attending the Maggie Dent webinar from our lounge rooms! She is very easy to listen to and she has a gift to make things sound like common sense. As Lucinda said last night we would like to thank Catholic Care for their grant, which made presenting this webinar a reality. In times such as these it has been difficult to present an event in person, so I hope that everyone that jumped on thought it was valuable. If you weren’t able to get on last night, there is a link that will be available for the next 21 days and I strongly encourage all parents to view the webinar if you missed it, as I know that we can all take at least one small thing to put into our daily routine. As soon as that link is made available we will pass that on.
School photos as you know were taken on Tuesday and we were blessed to have a beautiful sunny day. Next term information will be sent to you regarding how you can access your photo gallery of your child/ren.
The staff will be busy on the first day of the holidays updating their first aid certificates – so no sleep in on the first morning for us!
Some work will take place over the holidays – the basketball court is going to be professionally cleaned and re-sanded, the gutters cleaned out, and the sandpit will be topped up as will the softfall. At some stage a swale drain will also be installed above the K/1 classroom to stop the water flow that comes from the top of the playground going into the classroom.
Term three has been a great term so a big thank you to all of our wonderful students for their wonderful efforts and learning. I hope that all of our St Joseph’s families take the time to relax and spend some quality time with family over the two week break.
We look forward to seeing all students back for Term 4 Wednesday 14 October.
Have a great break and holiday

This week in our MJR (Making Jesus Real) session, we talked about the benefit of having a positive attitude to life.
We discussed how to be a WINNER and GRINNER not a MOANER and GROANER.
Positive people are winners and grinners. If you are positive, you will see the good in others and in everything around you. Some days we have great days, other times good days and sometimes, not so good days. We talked about the need to talk to an adult when we encounter big problems, but looked at ways to be more resilient if our problems are smaller and can be solved independently.
During prayer time we thanked God for the many blessings we have received this term both at home and at school.
Wishing everyone a relaxing break.

Grounds Maintenance Roster

Summer uniform is to be worn in Term 4.
REMINDER: No Hat, No Play policy is in place all year round, a reminder that your child/ren need a hat for outside play.
Book Week will be run in week 2 of next term, our parade will be held on Thursday 22nd October.
Put your creative hats on over the holidays to come up with a costume, with the theme "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds"
Student Welfare News from Mrs Clay
Next term Friday sport for the students will be Rugby. We have a Sports for School grant and will have an officer from the Southern Inland Rugby Development team visit, this will run for the first five weeks of term.
Due to our working bee not been able to be held due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are asking parents to volunteer to do a job at a time that suits them. We have a list of jobs and it would be fantastic if families could pick a job from the list. We still have jobs that will need doing before the return to Term 4.
Other jobs on the list include:
* weed and tidy garden around tennis/basketball courts
* weed and tidy garden around the front of school
* clean out drain - side of school and remove covers
* remove weeds from tennis courts
During the holidays it would be great if our families could check the mowing/whipper snipping roster to see if you are on. It's always great for the grounds to be mowed in the holidays so it is freshly cut for the children to come back and play on the playground. Due to snake season, we also like to keep the grass cut and the whipper snipping done.
